MRA makes waves at Waste 2017 conference in Coffs Harbour

The Waste 2017 conference has been and gone, running from 2-4 May at Opal Cove Resort in Coffs Harbour. It was an exceptionally well attended conference, attracting over 550 delegates from around Australia to three days of proceedings.

More than 75 exhibitors were there to display how they are advancing the waste industry, showing all manner of machinery and services. If the exhibitors are a gauge of the level of innovation in the Australian waste industry, then we are in safe hands.

MRA made a substantial impact, presenting in three of the 80+ sessions over the three days. On the first day, Virginia Brunton and Mike Ritchie presented in “All about FOGO”, a workshop coordinated by WMAA. Mike Ritchie presented “Is it worth regulating the circular economy?” on the second day, and on the last day Adam Johnson presented “National Litter round up: What’s working, what isn’t, and where do we go from here”.

This was, as always, an excellent conference.

As always, I welcome your feedback on this, or any other topic on ‘The Tipping Point’. For all of you who want to know the latest from MRA, our company page in LinkedIn is highly active and up to date. I encourage you to follow the page to see what we have done, what we can do for you, and what is at the cutting edge of waste practice in Australia.
