Maputo (Mozambique), 06 December 2022 - The eVisa portal is part of the package of measures announced by the government in August and designed to accelerate the economy, promoting “good practices for reducing bureaucracy” and contributing to the “improvement of the business environment”.
Applying for visa to Mozambique is easier now, with the entry into operation, yesterday, of an electronic platform called e-Visa, launched by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
The new platform allows foreign citizens to apply for an entry visa online, from anywhere in the world, being able to validate and make payment at national borders.
The measure, according to the President, will increase efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of services to national and foreign citizens, through the reduction of bureaucracy, in addition to contributing to the improvement of the business environment and diversification of the economy and good governance.
“Another added value is the simplification of procedures for obtaining visas to enter the country, which will boost tourism, making the country a reference tourist destination and providing the growth of companies operating in this area”, it was clarified.
