There was likely also an undercount of immigrants, especially from?Madeira.

The Portuguese South African community is highly active within the South African community, both politically and economically. Yes, today we are looking at another unspoken truth. Moving On. Yes, moving on for some people is the hardest thing to do ever.

It's hard to get unstuck from a relationship or job. The alternative is worse.

Personally I am a mover and a shaker. I do not stay where I am not welcome. Most people are not like me.They stay till the bitter end and then regret not taking the opportunity to move on.

The term “moving on” can be subject to varying interpretations. What do we really mean by moving on? It certainly shouldn’t suggest that we can simply erase an event or relationship that is disagreeable, but we shouldn’t remain locked in it either. For example, the unloving parent remains our parent, and the end of their life doesn’t end the pain or anguish of abuse.

Moving on doesn’t delete the past. Letting go?of someone or something we once deemed important or valuable is much harder than hanging on.

If there’s a single, most common mistake we make, it’s staying in a job or relationship long past its expiry date.?

For better and worse, all of us tend to gravitate toward people and situations that make us feel at home and comfortable.

The reality of life is that we do not have control over all circumstances we may encounter but however, we do have the ability to put these matters into perspective and make appropriate adjustments.?

What does God say about letting go of the past?

In Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

Why can't people let go of things that happened in the past?

People who struggle to let go of specific events from the past?may have experienced trauma. Trauma is a kind of psychological wound that can result from any distressing experience, such as loss, danger, or deep embarrassment.

It's hard to know whether you should stay or go.?

Acceptance is the beginning of any healing. When we don’t accept something, it continues to grow, like a cancer inside of you, eating away at you day after day.

Acceptance allows you to start moving forward, past what happened.

You will finally able to let go and be present in what is happening now in your life.

Final Thoughts:

Moving on in life becomes tricky sometimes.?

A common mistake that a lot of us make is to move on without feeling sad or mourning. It is important to go through all kinds of emotions, you can’t always be happy. You are allowed to cry and feel sad about it because it is normal.

I am a cry baby.I cry when i watch a nice movie, I cry when Im happy and when I feel sad and depressed sometimes. My friends and family knows about my crying episodes. And after crying I feel better.

Don’t wait around for an apology or a closure as it might never come.

Being listened to, and understood, is hugely important, especially if we are going through a tough time.I would say that one of the greatest investments we can make in loving the people around us is to develop our listening skills and start showing more understanding.

To be listened to, taken seriously, and believed, can bring hope and life to a person. This will also help someone trapped in a bad situation to move on.This is a very important step, actually the most important or vital thing for anyone.
