Moving on...

Today marks the proverbial closing of one book (it had many chapters) and the opening of a new one! 

It's hard to know what to write here that sufficiently sums ups what I'm feeling and what I'm thinking. How do you consolidate all the highs and lows of the last THIRTEEN YEARS into a paragraph or two (TLDR). Do I talk about all the lessons I've learned and who I've learned them from along my journey from young hungry assistant all the way through to President and founding partner? Do I talk about all the fun I've had or sleepless nights accrued? Words of wisdom or advice? Stories from the war room? Do I talk about my thoughts on the industry and where it's going or how we got here?

Do I wax poetic about how bittersweet this moment is...transitioning my baby to new (very awesome and capable) parents and stepping away from all the blood, sweat, tears, and laughs I have poured into this thing over the years juxtaposed with how excited I am for the future and what's next for me?

I think perhaps I will simply say THANK YOU! 

Gratitude is the emotion I am overcome with the most at this particular moment! Gratitude for all the people that have enriched my life over the past 13 years! For all my partners, past and present, I have had the privilege to work with. For all my colleagues without whom we wouldn't have gotten to where we are and who will continue to do amazing things. For my clients over the years who continue to inspire me! For my mentors and friends, competitors and contemporaries all who continue to drive our industry forward, innovate and disrupt. I wish I could mention you all by name and say a very public thank you to you all individually but there are just too many people. So instead, I will just say to everyone (you know who you are) THANK YOU! Its been an incredible ride...and it ain't over yet!
