‘Moving away from untenable modes of transport to more sustainable and efficient ones’
Matthew Bezzina, CEO, eCabs Technologies, will be one of the speakers at ‘The Road to Reliable Public Transport’, a business breakfast hosted by Times of Malta.
A business visionary who founded eCabs fresh out of University while reading for his MBA, Bezzina’s leadership has seen eCabs grow from a cab start-up in 2009 to Malta’s largest transport operator in the span of seven years, thereafter, embarking on a journey of transformation to what is today a group of companies led by eCabs Technologies, arguably one of Malta’s largest technology companies.?
“Malta’s long-term strategy should be based on changing mentalities and culture. Our collective mission should be focused on providing an alternate, viable, and effective means of transport other than the unsustainable and individualistic private vehicle. The answer lies in a modal shift. Moving away from untenable modes of transport to more sustainable and efficient ones,” Bezzina added.
‘The Road to Reliable Public Transport’ will be held at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s, on Wednesday, February 22, from 9am till 11.30am. Times of Malta journalist Mark Laurence Zammit will lead the discussion, with various panellists having their say and answering questions from the audience.
