Moved.

Moved.

Music is a very big part of my life.

It often moves me to tears and makes me come fully alive.

Every once in a while, you encounter a performance that is so mesmerising it goes way beyond that.

We had that with Philippe Jaroussky singing “Schlummert ein” in the Concertgebouw the other day.

And I was caught by surprise today by a piece.

There were four bars that were so perfect I had to sit down.

What moves you beyond tears?

Human kindness to our brothers and sisters, stories of triumph and release from suffering.
