MoveAware
After playing professional football but becoming injured, I came face to face with how quickly disempowered the body becomes if its not used, or moved, correctly – in harmony with all the different parts of our body and including our conscious mind.
I now find my fulfilment supporting the development and physical ( as well as mental) performance of sports professionals alongside their practise. From me you will recieve the guidance and support of a trainer, but I’ll also has had first hand experience of the demands you face outside of our sessions and in your matches.
One to One Performance Recovery
Our goal will be to awaken the chi that flows through your body. (Chi is the combined force of your autonomic systems – particularly circulatory system, endocrine, para / sympathetic nervous system and respiratory system.) When it is in full motion, and the stagnant areas are flushed out, you will become present to an infinite source of energy within you. You will become present to your power and natural skill.
With full energy and awareness restored, your practise will become more intuitive and insightful, less stressful or fraught.
Through the treatment sessions, you will experience a diversity of techniques and knowledge from Eastern based medicine. These techniques from Thailand and China have been refined over 2,500 years of practise, and passed to me by masters that I studied with on a one-to-one basis.
Equipped with these techniques, I'm helping athletes and Pro-football players with their own learning process.
This is an environment designed to put you back in touch with your natural abilities.
Free To Move
In the movement practice we want you to feel more energyzed by moving freely.
We use the concepts of Fighting Monkey in our movement sessions.
Anatomy of events, Anatomy of injury and earthquake architecture.
You will experience a diversity of movement practices, that will get you out of your comfort zone...
A Typical Session
LISTEN
We will start by discussing your physical abilities, your current training schedule, your medical history and what you want to focus on through our work together. We will establish a goal that the sessions will be engineered towards, be it a new PB, developing a new skill, such as agility, or identifying and releasing areas of chronic tension in the body to free up access to movement and strength.
LOOK
We will run through a series of basic movements and exercises so I can observe the unique way in which your body’s limbs, muscles, joints and bones work together to create movement. All our bodies are different and it’s important to get to terms with structural alignment, balance and flexibility.
This is an opportunity for you to really feel into each area, to understand how much movement is available to you and to notice where the body is restricting movement (often to protect weak alignment).
PRACTISE
Now that we have identified a goal, assessed the body and learnt what areas of the body are available to us, we create movement to gain access the range of motion.
