A move towards sustainable fashion post lockdown

Since the past century, we have seen many economic downturns. From the great recession of the 1920s to the recession of 2008 and currently, most of us are forced to live inside our homes for the past few months due to COVID 19 lockdown, worldwide.

Every economic downturn has brought about a change in the way we perceive fashion. From rationing of clothes during world war to the change in styles since 2008, the fashion industry has always come out stronger and thrived after all the economic chaos that we have surpassed.

Already the industry has suffered from millions of unsold inventory lying across the stores, worldwide. How is it going to change post-COVID-19? Is it going to be any different this time?

The green shoots have already started showing up. Although sustainable fashion has been the buzzword for a long time, brands have finally started realizing that it cannot remain so anymore.

We are seeing an unprecedented chatter from consumers across the globe who are not only concerned by what they wear but also how and from where their clothes are sourced? They want to know how environmentally friendly and sustainable is the brand that they wear. Any global brand that needs to keep a track of this shift in consumer behavior if it plans to survive and thrive in the future.

Bollti aims at launching the next fashion revolution with sustainability and brand awareness. Would love to know your thoughts on the same. Follow bollti for more updates.
