To move slowly in a great rush

Reach for satisfaction (let any external measure of success be the by-product):

“To move slowly in a great rush” I would suggest, is an active soul mantra to rid yourself of the clutter of externally led success measures organically, naturally and with minimal effort.? Anyone who has tasted any “success” by whatever external measure, knows full well that the utility curve of this success is intimately linked to the level of internal satisfaction associated with it.? To put it simply, if the success achieved has a superficial bond with your internal motivation, then the initial positive utility derived from the euphoria of this external success will wane very quickly.? Why then, do we stay obsessed with external markers of success, real or projected; rather than disregarding such noise for the real stuff (i.e., genuine, lasting, deeply visceral satisfaction)?

?

Figure out YOUR WHY, but get grounded with HOW:

I would suggest that the question of WHY is a moot one because each human has a unique personality driven by their own personal set of experiences and constraints, and hence each person should answer “their Why” for themselves, but with genuine honesty in the quiet of their internal voice.? If, as one example, you truly are driven by a desire for celebrity status / cult following, then own it unapologetically within your insides; because whatever your “why” still needs a consistent “how” always to achieve any tangible results.

Hence, for any “why” to sustain itself, it must have a consistent “how”.

?

Finding consistent motivation:

To wake up each day and consistently put one foot in front of the other to deliver your “how”, so to speak, requires consistent motivation.?

Consistent motivation, and I mean genuine, internally energized consistent motivation requires a clarity of soul to allow your actions to flow with some deep internal release and letting go in trusting the energies of this universe that are far larger than you (be it via your faith, your agnostic stance, your atheistic resolve or whatever other mental anchor you may have to address all that is larger than you and well beyond your control).

?

Will 2024 be a year of short memories and more of the same for you, OR?

As we turn to 2024, after a rough “risk-off” in 2023 that led to a wave of destruction in small cap companies and unicorns turning to uni-corpses, for each of us, individually and collectively, to not have the standard human dis-ease of short memories and go right back to more of the same old same old; maybe, just maybe, we’ll learn in each of our lived realities, to drop the gamification of life, shed the masks we can, stop seeking confirmation of our opinion led echo-chambers that our new age of tech is so very adept at capitalizing and just breathe into moving slowly in a great rush.

?

As for taking a full breath, regardless of your range of belief on the spectrum of pure faith to pure science, may I suggest visiting the magic of the universe from time to time.? The above is one of the first images released about the ancient first light of the universe, and the site is periodically updated with fresh imagery and data to bring genuine (i.e., not AI created) wonder of the stardust in all of us.

Stay humble, do the work to get deeper than just your conscious self, stay long term greedy only.
