Move Fearlessly Towards Your Goals

Move Fearlessly Towards Your Goals

The Cambridge Dictionary selected “perseverance” as its word of the year for 2021 because they believe it captures the undaunted will of people across the world to never give up, despite the many challenges we all faced. This couldn’t be more fitting for the team of relentless real estate professionals that I am proud to work with every day. At this time last year, none of us knew what to expect but we understood that we would have to face those challenges head on and deliver in an extraordinary manner no matter what. And that we did!

Kicking off a new year, I thought to myself, what would my word be for 2022? I chose INSPIRE. To inspire can mean different things to different people depending on where you are in your own personal journey. As a leader, and we are all leaders to someone, my goal is to inspire our global network of entrepreneurs and real estate professionals to do more, to not just achieve the business goals they set out for themselves and their teams, but to remember the true motivation behind them.

As real estate professionals, you are inspiring your community and today’s home buyers and sellers within them. We all know that the real estate journey is rarely ever a smooth one and we can’t always paint our clients a rosy picture. The markets will continue to evolve, inventory may remain slim causing prices to be out of reach for many. This can breed frustration for potential home buyers and in turn for you as professionals. So how do you deliver on everyone’s needs? By being the most knowledgeable and relentless advocate for your clients that you can be. By tackling the pain points and being a trusted and knowledgeable advisor, you remove the stress of the journey and instead inspire them to do what they need to do to achieve the dream of homeownership.?

Someone recently asked me what I was most excited for when it comes to real estate in the year ahead. I’m excited by the way that things are constantly evolving. Last fall, Century 21 Real Estate collaborated with National Geographic CreativeWorks to explore the evolution of home and how the last 2 years had impacted our day-to-day lives. It was eye opening to look at this from not just a U.S. perspective but a global one. Regardless of where someone lived, there were so many commonalities and overarching themes that we were all experiencing across society. As I think about the year ahead, I look forward to this continuing rediscovery of our homes. What will home mean to us as a people, as families, as communities? How are these views impacting how we raise our children or how we share those intimate moments with loved ones? And ultimately, in our world, how will this impact the way your clients experience buying or selling a home?

Despite everything, 2021 was a great one for our business, with so many of you achieving record levels of success. But if we want to continue to be leaders in this industry, we can’t just rest on those past successes. I challenge each and every person who calls this great real estate industry, home, to move fearlessly and to never be afraid to ask, ‘What if?’ Every time you challenge the norm or your own belief of what’s possible, you have the opportunity to be inspired and inspire others to do great things.

So set those big goals for yourself – both personally and professionally – and be 121% committed to them. True commitment is moving fearlessly, without hesitation. When you’re 121% committed and put in the hard work every day, eventually it becomes your mission to succeed. My goal is to continue to drive growth for our C21 brand and the amazing entrepreneurs associated with us. Personally, finishing the Ironman in 2020 was a mission accomplished. This year I’m committed to competing in another big endurance race. What are your personal and business goals for 2022??Are you inspired enough to ‘dream big’??Wishing everyone all the best in 2022!

Your words are most definitely "inspirational" if I may. They are causing me to pause and give good thought here. Thank you.
