There are lots of pointing devices out there that claim to be "industrial " or "tough" but few really are built to withstand the tough treatment of an industrial or military environment. NSI make a large range of industrial keyboards and trackpads for harsh environments.

One such device is the CST100F2, this unit combines the functions of a mouse but at the touch of a button turns it into a 3-axis joystick. This 3-axis joystick unit has a robust, vandalproof construction and metal look : the carrier plate made of brushed stainless steel and two anti-vandal stainless steel IP65 sealed switches. Highly ruggedized and designed for harsh industrial applications, navigation controls, etc… The speed of the cursor movement can be adapted and it required no special drivers.
