Motor insurance madness
I had a crazy experience this morning. I tried to remove a named driver on my motor policy. Instead of a refund, the insurance company wanted me to pay ￡ 170.00 extra. Needless to say, I have left the driver on my policy. I did the same with another company at the same time and received a refund!

6 年Shabir, recently I went through a situation with Aviva. I had a minor damage on my car, put the claim and they wanted the car to go to their nominated repairer who are not main dealers. If I did allow their nominated repairer to repair the car, I would have lost the warranty on the body work given by the manufacturer. By not letting the car go to the nominated supplier, I had to pay extra excess of ￡200, though the vehicle is being repaired by the main dealer. So with the car insurance we are always at the losing end.
