Motive for action

Motivation is a process that starts with getting emotionally connected to your Purpose. I am saying that you don’t get motivated, you create motivation. You can start by asking yourself these questions :
- What - Do you want = Goal setting
- Why - Is this goal so important to you
- How - Small measurable steps
The resulting mindset from this process is a growth mindset. “There is no failure, only failure to learn”. Some of you may be writing a book, in training for an athletic event, preparing for a public speaking event, doing your first presentation for your new business or preparing for a fight; it’s not the excitement that sustains you over the months or weeks of training and preparation, it's a connection to the outcome. You begin your journey with the end in your mind and in your heart. You get connected to an outcome that resonates with your values. Values like Excellence, Teaching, Leading, Risk taking, Physical expression, Adventure, Imagination and the list goes on. This is when you go beyond excitement and step into belief. Belief in your vision of yourself, of the world, of your future. You daydream about it, when you engage in conversations with friends, family or even strangers your passion for your vision somehow comes up as you speak, you hear your calling in the podcasts you listen to, in the seminars you attend, it's everywhere, in your heart, mind and spirit. When you are connected like that you have a motive for action. Sometimes it’s hard, and tiring, but with small measurable steps and recognition, acknowledgement and celebration of your small wins and gains along the way, you can enjoy the journey and inspire others to follow.
