Motivation is quite literally the desire to do something.

It's the difference between waking up before dawn to pound the pavement and lazing around the house all day. It's the crucial element in setting and achieving goals. Figure out what you want, power through the pain and start being whom you want to be.

SSG Recruitment Partnerships have an existing client portfolio of all different shapes and sizes who have different motivations whether it be to have more of a work/life balance, build a team around them or to put it quite simply, make millions.

Fact #1: We identify motivated recruiters keen to make the transition from employee to business owner.

Encouragingly, our partners have, and are currently, achieving at least one of the above. Part of our role in the relationship is to understand what they want to achieve and help them do so. Furthermore, we understand that plans change and life is unpredictable so whatever happens along the way, it is our job to help them on their journey to success.

The truth is, it really doesn’t matter what your motivations are but it is pivotal they are genuine, realistic and somewhat achievable and not just because you’re having a bad week in the office!

I don’t have to remind you that recruitment is demanding and will push and pull your emotions all day long however surely your family, your time, your future and let’s face it your mental health is more precious to you than just making placements??

It’s been widely recognised in the recent press that employers are becoming increasingly under pressure to provide more modern and flexible benefits to meet the demands of the working population and I’ve no doubt that we will see some significant improvements, however, there is no denying that working for yourself will instantly empower you with control and provide you with the licence to decide when what, who and how much.

Fact #3: Our model offers you the opportunity to make so much more income.

I’m often asked by our prospective and budding entrepreneurs if there are any targets they need to achieve or if there is a minimum amount they need to bill – the short and truthful answer to this is ‘No’ because guess what (?), the shackles are off and you are free to set your own targets, work within whatever sector you desire and choose your own working hours.

I’m sure by now, as an experienced and well-oiled recruiter you will know what it takes for you to make X placements or bill ￡X,000 a month; we trust our instincts and so should you, after all, you deserve it! If money is a big motivation for you then I suppose this is an easy question to ask yourself – Do you think that working for yourself will give you a higher income?...

At the start of our relationship, we will clearly express all the tangible services your business will receive from us. Fortunately, there is no budging so you can be assured that whilst you’re top-performing, we’re supporting your business in every way we promised we would.
