MOTIVATION AND OUR DESIRE TO MOVE FORWARD
Have you ever experienced doing something that feels like a drag??
Doing chores? Solving math problems? Working for a dull 9-5 corporate job when you want to work remotely??
Either you know what you want but you can’t take the leap, or you still lack the clarity on what it really is.
You got to know that lack of motivation manifests as a symptom shown as slacking off, even laziness.
It is simply a misalignment of where we want to be versus where we are right now.
Motivation is what we feel when our dreams is not yet fulfilled.
And it made me think, that we feel motivated when we are driven to achieve something — a goal, a finish line, a checklist that needs to be ticked off or even a bucket list.
However, it doesn’t need to be a big, grand dream.
In an ideal world, we all have the motivation to do what we need to do. Apparently, we live in a flawed reality, where some people do things for personal gain, and (thank goodness) some still act for selfless reasons.
Regardless of what it is, we all go through a motivation processing:?
(START) KNOWING YOUR WHY -> ALIGNMENT OF PRINCIPLES ->
DRIVE -> MOTIVATION -> ACTION -> (END) GOAL
Feeling motivated will take you through a lot of mental processing, and as always, it starts from WHY.
“Why am I doing this?”
Some people’s why are driven by material possession (money, salary, technology), prestige or fame, helping others, taking care of family, and responsibility.?
Honestly, there are endless possible reasons, but you have to know that not everyone around you acts and is fueled on the same WHY. And to be frank, it is less of your concern to know what fuels other people’s why unless you have already found out yours.
So first, Identify what type of WHY you have for yourself is it (1) Limited or (2) Limitless?
People have their own why’s, but not everyone has a WHY that can burn sustainably for decades, however, if you want to live a fulfilling life for yourself … FIND YOUR LIMITLESS WHY.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIMITED AND LIMITLESS “WHY”
You know the drill …
The Limited 'Why' that is fueled by external motivation can run you out of the drive to do things; while The Limitless 'Why' can last sustainably longer, and often, guides you to a greater cause.
It might take longer for you to find your Limitless Why since I do believe it's a combination of all life experiences you've had and the mindset that you have been taught to look from.
It will take you a handful of time to really contemplate and connect things together.
Yet knowing our WHY matters because it is what shifts our perspective, our thinking — our entire MINDSET, which influences how we act and talk.
A mindset is an established state of the mind. What it believes, how you make sense of the world and how you view yourself.?
Imagine, if we can align our WHY to a more healthy mindset and we start to view the tasks that we do as a process of attaining our goals and dreams --
We start to build that motivation.
We start to become more proactive.
We start to take the initiative.?
Everything in our life is heavily influenced by our existing mindset, so better self-assess how you view the world around you.
Also, how well you respond to adversity and challenges.
Knowing these things can make you a better person who can work towards personal growth, achieve goals and overall success.
How do you approach opportunities??
How much do you know your own why?
Is it fueled intrinsically or externally? Limited or limitless?
Does it align you to where you want to go? Or does it hinder you??
Does it give you a sense of purpose? Or does it drag you??

The moment we begin to reclaim this power for ourselves ...
To acknowledge the strength our mind has over us, and how it fuels our motivation ...
That is when we can change the direction of our lives and build the desire to move forward.
I like to think MOTIVATION makes more sense when our MINDSET is aligned with mental courage to go after our WHY.
A better life, a better outlook, and a better future for ourselves and for the community we serve and trust.
Above & Beyond,
