Motivation Monday for Parents
Motivation Monday for the mums and dads out there :)
Are you renting ? How are you going with getting ready to buy your own home ? If you are a parent and have school holidays coming up it can be easy to overspend and ruin your budget or tap into your home savings for some extra fun activities BUT just remember that not everything you do with kids has to cost money. Some ideas I used to do with Blake when he was at school are:
- picnics (if it was raining we would still have a picnic in our loungeroom)
- bush walking -kids love to walk in the bush and find things
- go to the beach - yes its a bit cold for swimming at the moment but you can still build a sandcastle
- painting
- colouring in
- often the shopping centres and councils run free school holiday activity programs -check them out
- games at home -throw a ping pong into a cup
- tennis court hire -this is usually affordable
- bike riding
- whale watching -I went yesterday with a friend and her daughter for a picnic on the beach at Anna Bay - we saw plenty of whales and had a lovely lunch
- bake at home - cookies, pikelets, cakes
- dress up games - they might like to invite a friend over
- the list goes on
What suggestions do you have? Feel free to add more in the comments.
Have a great day everyone.
