Motivation Minute #7: Learning has no age-limit

Motivation Minute #7: Learning has no age-limit

Getting back to the "minute" after some time. What inspires this writing is the recent opportunity to be part of the Association for Talent Development's: Master Trainer Program held in Dubai during last week of March 2019. I entered the program considering to have an "enormous" 11-years of experience only to end up being the least experienced guy in the group and also the youngest.

This was an eye-opener as well as an inspiration that my fellows attending the course who had achieved success in their careers over two, three, even four decades were back in the classroom for more. Age and experience then are merely numbers and it's the hunger for continuous learning that keeps individuals motivated to do great things.

Another thing I learned is that past performance is exactly that "past-performance". In this competitive world it's not about what you brought to the table 2-years ago or even 2-months ago. It's about what you can deliver today and tomorrow. As professionals we must always have an eye on what value we can add in the future to individuals. to organizations and most of all ....... ourselves.

And that is today's Motivation Minute!

Motivation Minute is a new series to record everyday thought-provoking scribbles from our daily lives.
