Mothers Learning To Combat Campus Antisemitism
Hello to all the Jewish Moms trying to deal with rise of antisemitism on campuses all across North America.
I created this Facebook group, which is very different from all the other groups on this topic:
The goal here is for members to actively participate in regular meetings and discuss the issues together.
The group targets mothers, but anyone who is interested in learning how to combat antisemitism is free to join us.
There are plenty of groups posting about all the bad things happening on campuses - and there are more each day.
This group is only for learning how we can overcome this hate together.
We'll start virtually, but the goal is to get on campuses to actually show our children the best way to protect themselves.
I am watching a clip of a famous personality speaking in universities right now, and all the kids are sitting in the audience passively watching her speak on stage.
What is that going to achieve? Absolutely nothing. Being "loud and proud" will not protect our children because the whole point of this is not for us to copy our attackers.
We're supposed to be above all the hate dividing societies, and show everyone a better way forward.
So what is going to shift things for the better and make our children safe on campus? When we discuss the issues together objectively in a non-judgmental environment, we're clearing the air of all the toxic energy.
We don't need to wait for things to get worse to start doing this.
We can start protecting our kids right now.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or special requests.
