Mothers I Tell You...

Somebody wise once very gently asked me if I can contain my mother in words. As challenging as it may seem, I was determined to put the last pinch of my brain to make it happen. Not certain of the paths it will take me through, looking for the self she carries and feeling every emotion is she pregnant with.

 A mother is an emotion herself. A mother is a mass embodiment of unconditional love. She will fail and she will make mistakes because every other moment in front of her is a trial. One to be a provider. Two to be a giver. Three to be there. The concept of time dissolves the moment she conceives. She can dance until her last breath to fulfill every dream her child sees. She gleams with hope and love while weaving an eternal cobweb of a warm connection. Miles she can travel to understand her child is bewilderment, sometimes accepting the harshest truths and sometimes accepting everything as is. Mothers are norm breakers to support their child to demands of the future, generation after generation. 

 Her hustle, so omnipresent in many other roles, while being a mother. She would slip into ups and lows the other roles push her into. Still, holding a thought - what about my child? This responsibility could be an accident, but a feeling seamlessly written off as paranoia mostly. A mother is a goddess. Nothing can dull her love's shine. My path seeks her warmth and presence just as when I was a womb resident. 

 No two mothers are the same and the stories we have of her are always unique. She is a woman each of us aspires to be in the way we emote, the sugar we add to the tea, the piece of clothing she used so dearly, in her smiles, and in infinite unnoticeable ways.

Mothers are simply superheroes.
