Mother Victorious

From the time I took my first breath and looked upon her beautiful face, I knew she was mine and I was hers.

She named me… gave me her name… she loved me.

She was my champion, my mentor, my teacher, my forever friend.

She was God-fearing, lovely, natural, true to herself, true to others, kind, caring, healing, joyful.

She set the bar high with her indisputable standards of living life right.

She lived life to the fullest, actively, with a spring in her step, a lilt in her laughter, a yodel in her song.

She was a baker, a seamstress, a gardener, a nurse, a caregiver, she was a homemaker.

She set the great, the Godly, example.

She was my Mother on earth.

She is my angel Mother in heaven now.

Thank you, God, for the precious gift of a loving Mother.

From my heart to yours, dear Mother. I always was, always will be your first and humbly, eternally grateful daughter.

I hope if you have read this, you will tell me about your Mom or about that person who made you feel special, no matter what. Mother and Daddy were married 52 years before he passed in 2002, they had 13 children - 7 boys, 6 girls. Mother made her transition in 2016 but I can still hear her peals of laughter. They had a gift; they made all their children feel special. They were the ones who were extra special people.
