Most of Us Don't Bother to Do This on LinkedIn in the Caribbean (But Maybe We Should?)
Let's be honest: Caribbean life is considerably laid-back compared to city life. Between the sunshine, the Thursday night lime, and the back-to-school traffic, cybersecurity isn't exactly at the top of our priority list. So, it's no surprise that most of us haven't bothered enabling two-step authentication on our LinkedIn profiles.?
I mean, who wants to break a sweat typing in an extra code after a long day standing in a line at the bank? But here's the thing: two-step authentication is kind of like putting sunscreen on – it might seem like a hassle, but it protects you from getting burned (by hackers, that is).?
According to LinkedIn, (yes, I actually braved the internet to find this out), two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone on top of your password. Basically, it's like having a padlock on your beach cooler – sure, a determined bystander might sneak a beer, but it makes it a whole lot harder.?
So, maybe while we're all busy perfecting our "out of office" messages, we can also take a few minutes to enable two-step authentication. After all, wouldn't it be a shame if someone hacked your LinkedIn and started endorsing you as a "Chief Limer"? Just sayin'.?

Interesting topic! I can certainly relate as I did procrastinate on setting up mine. I suppose it's easy to push it aside when things are working normally - that is until of course it isn't. I have been noticing heightened measure bing implemented across various platforms. Some a bit tricky for persons in the Caribbean. But to ensure we can still effectively market our brands it is clear that we cannot afford to be complacent.
