This sentence is frequently echoed in our media, whether in news about statistics of injuries, deaths, displacement, and more.
Although it is painful in all circumstances, doesn't the man have any rights in all of this?
Doesn't he have the right to struggle with all this burden and exhaustion from the responsibilities that are thrown onto his shoulders in every disaster?
And how can he not? This is the result of social customs that have persisted for years.
"A person does not develop a sense of themselves, and completes themselves as a body only, but rather as a body subjected to beliefs and social laws."
~Simone de Beauvoir

Men are often expected to bear responsibility, make crucial decisions, remain steadfast, conceal emotions of sadness and anxiety, and exhibit patience in times of loss.
However, it is important to recognize that these expectations can be burdensome and can impact men's well-being. It is essential to promote a more inclusive and compassionate understanding of masculinity that allows men to express their emotions, seek support, and share the responsibilities and challenges with their partners and communities. Equality and empathy should be the foundation for a more balanced and harmonious society.
