The most powerful 'Deficit' in the world right now?
Right.... I am just going to say it. Finally, there is a time in history for all the 'ADHD' kids (and adults) to absolutely dominate.
In-fact, I don't think there has ever been a better environment than this new 'AI age' for those high-speed ADHD minds to thrive. I mean think about it. A brain that moves at 10x the speed of normal humans... working on tech that develops at 10x the speed of normal technology!
Trust me, I know a thing or two about the unrelenting thoughts that surge through an ADHD brain. The constant struggle to reign your brain in is exhausting. But… first (yes the first of many digressions) before I carry on with an important point...can I just say :
ADHD. What a stupid name for an attribute which should be hailed as a superpower. Without this ‘Deficit & Disorder’ 80% of the coolest companies in the world wouldn’t exist…. And while I am at it... I bet the guy who invented the remote control had ADHD… and the car… and yes, it is very very likely that a person with ADHD invented fire!
ANYWAY, getting back to the point…
People with ADHD are statistically 500% more likely to be entrepreneurs and are arguably one of the key reasons the majority of the people in the world even have jobs. (The first fact is a fact… the second fact is probably a fact... according to my head)?
(But I digress again). You see, while the rest of the world is struggling to keep pace with the breakneck speed of AI advancement, those blessed ‘ADHD' kids and adults are in their element. Their minds are hardwired to operate at lightning speed, constantly processing information and adapting to new challenges.
But the rapid brain pace is not even the best bit about having this 'disorder'.
ADHD brains have an uncanny ability to make connections that others might miss (like Mcgyver who totally had ADHD) . They can take seemingly unrelated bits of information from a wide range of sources and synthesize them into groundbreaking ideas and solutions. It's like having a built-in neural network that's always working in the background, finding patterns and insights that others overlook.
This unique ability to think outside the box (or just create a new box) and approach problems from unconventional angles is precisely what the AI industry needs right now. As we navigate uncharted territories and tackle increasingly complex challenges, the innovative thinking of ADHD minds can, and probably will be the catalyst for breakthroughs that push the boundaries of what's possible.
Their ability to hyperfocus on topics that captivate them could lead to deep expertise and specialization in niche areas of AI. When an ADHD mind becomes passionate about a particular aspect of AI, whether it's machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision, we dive in headfirst, absorbing knowledge at an astonishing rate. This intense focus and drive can result in significant contributions to the field and accelerate the pace of innovation.
Now, I'm not saying we don't have weaknesses. We do. I am sad to admit to one or two (very very slight) kinks in our armour. We absolutely need need a strong team (that 100% do not have ADHD) working with us to help us bring our ideas to fruition.
But with the rise of AI and the pace that it is learning, we may have found our ultimate team member... . Imagine having an AI-powered toolkit that can keep up with our rapid-fire thoughts, help us organize our ideas, and bring our visions to life. It's a game-changer, no doubt about it.
AI can serve as a powerful ally for ADHD minds, providing the structure and support we need to thrive. By leveraging AI-driven tools and platforms, we can streamline our workflows, automate routine tasks, and focus our energy on the creative and strategic aspects of our work. This symbiotic relationship between ADHD brains and AI has the potential to unlock unprecedented levels of productivity and innovation.
So, here's my message to employers from every industry: embrace the unique strengths of ADHD minds. Give us the freedom to explore, the resources to innovate, and the trust to push boundaries. We're not just the "mavericks" or the "disruptors"; we're the visionaries who will shape the future of AI in ways you never thought possible.
This means fostering a culture of open-mindedness, flexibility, and support, where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated. By empowering ADHD individuals and providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed, the AI world can tap into a wellspring of untapped potential.
So, buckle up, because the ADHD advantage is about to take the AI world by storm! Let's show them what the fast and furious can achieve when allowed to shine. The world has never needed ADHD brains more than it does now, and we're ready to answer the call.
Together, we can shape the future and help every company keep in step with a changing world.

There is so much out there - another minefield. Which can be overwhelming and cause task and action taking paralysis So… let’s get on and do a podcast episode and chat about this as I know this is an area you have worked hard to understand and how to leverage effectively Great post and article mate ??????
