International English Test
International English Test is a globally recognized organization dedicated to evaluating English language proficiency.
On a near-daily basis, we encounter unfamiliar words or phrases that spark curiosity about their origins and meanings.
Traditionally, language evolution occurred at a slow pace, with new terms taking decades to gain widespread acceptance. However, our increased connectivity and rapid communication have hastened the introduction of new words into our vocabulary, irrespective of geographical location. Just in the spring of 2021, over 300 new words, revisions, and definitions were incorporated into the dictionary, including terms like "5G," "snack," and "yeet."
To explore public opinions on this aspect of language, we conducted a survey involving approximately 2,000 English speakers.
