The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, alongside industry partners, successfully developed and presented a groundbreaking solution for replacing gas and oil heating systems in multi-family homes. As part of the "LC R290" project, Fraunhofer ISE focused on the use of propane (R290) heat pumps, a more environmentally friendly refrigerant, to provide energy-efficient heating solutions for existing buildings.
Trane has expanded its Sintesis Balance CMAF product line. The new units, ranging from 80 kW to 640 kW, offer simultaneous heating and cooling using renewable energy and full heat recovery.

Johnson Controls is supplying the municipality of Neustadt in Holstein, Germany, with a state-of-the-art heat pump that will use water from the Baltic Sea to generate green energy. The system will provide part of the heat supply to a new district in the city's harbor via its own heating network. This seawater solution is the first of its kind in Germany on this scale and represents a future model for the transformation of heat supply.
