Carrier has officially opened a new 16,000-square-foot training center at its Charlotte offices, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house attended by Carrier’s commercial HVAC leadership and other valued guests last month. The new training center, where Carrier University is headquartered, represents a nearly $4 million investment in training the next generation of skilled HVAC technicians.

The Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Conditioners’ (PG-AC) has released a new recommendation on the rating points for air-air process and IT cooling. The recommendation is ready for download on the Eurovent website.
The new Eurovent Recommendation 11/1 proposes a new definition and two methodologies to address the air-air process and IT cooling in the context of the revision of the Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2016/2281. The definition and the methodologies derive from the existing Regulation or the existing standard EN 14825. The Recommendation aims to include all IT cooling or close control air-air air conditioners under the Regulation that will replace the existing (EU) 2016/2281 regardless of the capacity.
University of South Australia (UniSA) researchers have partnered with industry to develop a groundbreaking, energy-efficient refrigeration system that could transform cooling in supermarkets, hospitals, abattoirs, and other facilities.
The indirect evaporative (dew point) carbon dioxide (DP-CO2) refrigeration system, co-developed by UniSA and Glaciem Cooling Technologies, has been installed and tested at the new Coles supermarket in Norwood, SA, under the RACE for 2030 CRC research program.
