The company?will introduce its new air conditioners to the industry at SHK Essen?from September 6 to 9, 2022, in Hall 3 (Stand A09 to A11). Additional innovative solutions for the sustainable supply of heat, electricity and fresh air will also be on view, such as the new electricity storage system Vitocharge VX3 in combination with photovoltaics and a wall box. Interesting short presentations, to be held every hour on the hour at the trade fair stand, will provide insight into current technical developments.

Hoshizaki changed the model of cooling units used in prefabricated refrigerators/freezers used in restaurant chains, food processing industries, food wholesalers, supermarkets, etc., and will start selling them from September.

The B8DW unit is the most compact double-wall unit optimized for small to medium capacity applications. Double wall technology ensures that fluids do not mix by protecting one circuit from contamination in the event of internal leakage if a channel plate for any reason breaks.

Gernot Puntigam assumed his new position at Güntner as Managing Director Europe. In this role, Mr Puntigam assumes responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Digitalisation. He works alongside Michael Freiherr, who, as Managing Director Europe, focuses on Research & Development and Materials Management.

In India, equitable access to sustainable cooling is exigent for climate sustainability, economic productivity, and public health. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from cooling are estimated to account for at least 7 per cent of total annual national emissions by 2037. Considerable loss in labour productivity cannot be ruled out. As the planet warms up, 6 per cent of working hours may be lost to heat stress (ILO, 2019). Lack of respite from higher temperatures has already resulted in increased heat-related mortality cases and debilitating ailments such as organ failures and respiratory distress (National Disaster Management Authority 2019).
