We need all the momentum to build clean and resilient infrastructure in the face of accelerating global warming. At the time of this update, Hurricane Helene is upending the lives of fifty million people in the Southeast.

• Millions of people are without power; for many, it will be days, if not weeks, before it is restored.
• Hurricane Helene was the eighth category 4 or 5 cyclone to make landfall in the last eight years, the same number as the previous 57 years combined.

With power out for days and weeks and overcast skies, you need more than a 10kWh home battery with a few hours of storage to run a light and router. You will also need a small generator and energy in your EV to make it through.

Not only homeowners on the grid edge but also commercial customers lose power. These customers need “real power”—the power the PowerBloc can deliver.

The PowerBloc is a modular system that can scale from the BASE? with 70kWh of storage and 100 A to 700kWh of storage and 1,000 A. It has a small footprint and is easy to service. It works the same without the grid.

We did not build the PowerBloc for the world we live in today, but a world that is arriving like a hurricane.

We must stop emitting CO2 to prevent further heating and live with a new climate reality that will be with us from here on.
