Summer is typically the time when we leave work early on Fridays, take our vacations, and enjoy the extra hours of sunlight. If we had to rank seasons based on work productivity, summer would probably come in last place. But, as we get ready to welcome a new fall, we can’t help but think about all of the incredible products and apps that launched over the past several months.

Apple’s latest OS includes new APIs and services that connect your messages, phone, apps, and Siri to one another. Our favorite update? Now you can take a text message and replace any relevant words with its corresponding emoji. Woot!
Google Duo
Just when you thought Apple was winning the FaceTime game, Google steps in. They just released Duo, which is their version of 1:1 video calling. It’ll be interesting to see who wins the mobile game here.

Ohhh, shoot. Snapchat has some competition now. Instagram just released its own version of “stories”—and you know what? People are actually using it. Will they steal some of Snapchat’s thunder? The jury is still out.

Making screenshots is typically a tedious task for app developers. Using this app, you can do it cheaper and simpler. It even provides suggestion on best color combinations and font styles.
