Also, people are asked to keep a weapon with them to protect them from the polar bears. The police ensure that the people know how to use a weapon and carry it with them if they travel outside the town.

Tórshavn is named after Thor, the Norse god of thunder and lightning. This town is one of the smallest capitals in the world. The whole population is around 20,000, far less than the sheeps the own, i.e., around 70,000. This place is well known for its efforts in creating sustainable energy. Half of the electricity is produced by renewable energy sources. Most of the people visit Tórshavn during the summer season when the weather is not so harsh.
