Most people thought they understand Facebook but, to be frank, they only use Facebook as a consumer, they do not understand how to leverage Facebook from a business point of view.
I have spoken to many clients and I realized this biggest mistake most of them are making when it comes to Facebook Marketing. Most of them know they need to spend on Facebook Ads but they don't know what for.
So, I always ask them this question.
"What is your Goal?"
If you don't know what the goal is - you're not ready to run ads yet.
You need to know the goal - otherwise, it's like hopping into a cab and saying "I don't care where I end up..." - but then still being bummed you ended up on some random street.
Clarify the goal FIRST.
Below are some common goals I find businesses asking for:
- Increase email list
- Drive website traffic
- Sales and leads
- Grow following
- Engage following
Do not forget, Facebook is a vehicle for you to achieve the goals of your business. Focus on what goals you want and you can start reverse engineering to meet them. Soon, you will realize that it's much clearer this way.
