We all have heard about how the consumers are changing, how technology is impacting our daily lives, how companies are rethinking their strategy to grow bigger and bigger. If you think deep what is the most important of all.
In the world of fast pace, ever changing, omni-present, and action packed life, I believe the most important thing every organization should strive for and hope for is ATTENTION. Attention is the single most important attribute of today's world that needs to be taken care of. How can you grab the attention of the buyer/seller/customer ?. Every minute of the every day counts and that time is the most essence of everything. Can you make the time worth for your customer.
Few years back I heard about concepts like stomach share, wallet share, throat share... today is attention share. Whether you are products company, retailer, media company, banking company, manufacturing company or for all that matters a telecom company - it is ATTENTION that is most important. If you can get the attention of the customer and keep that for a long time - you have the ability to create lifetime value with that customer.
So go on - what are you waiting for !!! Find ways to grab the ATTENTION and make lifetime customers.

8 年I am sorry for not being convinced with your post giving high emphasis on ATTENTION. Attention is important but not the most or the only one important result to be focused upon. To support my opinion I will state AIDA model where ATTENTION, INTEREST, DESIRE, and ACTION should be in order of increasing order. One example. Many a times a retail outlet grabs my attention by highlighting 75% discount, but the product on offer is not fit to me. So no sale. Hence ATTENTION is important but not the only thing. Please comment if my opinion is wrong.

8 年Good point Aravind. In terms of a relationship, getting attention is a must; and then there is the need to persist in making the experience mutually pleasing. I liken this on the personal side that "love at first sight" creates only the potential for a great marriage. On the business side, delivering on a customer promise can only create the potential for the next opportunity to deliver once more.
