Most frequently asked question: Why SAP BTP ?

When I talk with Customers, Prospects - but also internally with colleagues - about transformation journey and SAP is part of it, the discussion touch for sure the Cloud Platform. Approaching transformation means to talk business languages, understanding main objectives to reach, elaborating in details the scope, shaping logical and technical architectures, approaching functional and non-functional requirements.

I was thinking to a similitude: I like everything have 2 or more wheels with an engine (I was also a biker - GSXR K6 the last one). I remember my first experience with a car, it was a Renault 4: it was an Euro-0 (probably less than zero) with analogic elements, manual stuffs, no sensors, no air-conditioned (a new R4 models is coming).

My current car: it is an Euro-6, full digital, sensors everywhere, airbags around us, automations, navigation, cruise control and security assistance, bluetooth, voice assistance, a lot of other services available to configure for a great sustainable & safe experience.

S/4HANA and SAP BTP is like an Euro-6; S/4HANA without BTP is like a Renault 4: Yes it works, but just imagine you in the queue on the traffic light, it's August, +35°c, with your Competitors on the other lane with a new Euro-6 waiting with you the green light.

So, do you prefer an Euro-6 providing a great experiences to the end-users and end-Customers, sustainable, with modern opportunities & great potentials, agility and flexibility or a basic static old style Renault 4 ?

I like SAP BTP - but Renault 4 was cool ;)
