Most employees can't 'turn off' while on vacation, and it's hurting their health

PTO: While vacation comes with many benefits, 74% of remote workers?felt that they were unable to fully disconnect while away, according to a recent report from The Harris Poll , commissioned by CERIDAN LTD . However, when employees do take time off,?almost half of those surveyed felt increased job satisfaction and productivity upon their return.?
"With remote work, it's always on. You've got your office set up in your home environment, and because of that, workers find it more difficult to disconnect," says Michelle Bonam, Ceridan's vice president of organizational effectiveness. "What we're gaining in flexibility, we're giving up in this ability to disconnect." Bonam shares her tips for encouraging employees to fully disengage from work during PTO.
DEI: In 2022, 71% of companies reported that they had implemented many DEI-related actions since 2020, according to KPMG 's 2022 DEI progress survey. In an effort to highlight a few, workplace review platform Comparably recently released its?6th annual list?of Best CEOs and companies that champion diversity and support their BIPOC employees, based solely on ratings from employees of color posted to Comparably.com from May 2022 to May 2023.?
IBM , ADP and RingCentral rounded out the top three of Comparably's list, scoring at least a 4.5 out of five for their culture score, which ranks a company against 18 different metrics including gender, ethnicity, age, experience, industry, location and education.?
