Price Sensitivity

Price sensitive prospects often want quotes for health care coverage based on the lowest price rather than the best value. Unfortunately, prospects don’t realize the consequence of having the lowest priced plan means less coverage.


Too Busy for Business

Additionally, some very busy clients won’t commit the time to a detailed conversation so that they fully understand how the health care plan works. The worst time to fully understand your health coverage plan is when you are in dire need of a service. Take for example car insurance. I was driving a rental car from Atlanta to Orlando and the tire blow out 84 miles from my destination. When I called the rental car emergency roadside service, I found out that the rental contract did not include roadside service. 

Panic time, right? Well, before I panicked, I remembered my USAA auto insurance coverage includes emergency road side service and also included coverage for tire replacement. Can you imagine the consequences of not knowing about these benefits? Or worse yet find out that you don’t have the coverage but could have had them if you went with the a slightly more expensive plan.  The same type of situation can occur with your health insurance.

I guide my prospects through imagining the convenience and benefits of having a concierge health insurance agent. Who has time to figure out what doctor is in the PPO network? What small business owner has the luxury of waiting on hold for an hour with customer service to resolve a billing issue?
