The Most Dramatic LinkedIn Post. Ever.??
Sigh...????????

The Most Dramatic LinkedIn Post. Ever.??

I know it's?not considered very professional to?get too personal on?LinkedIn...but...

I'd like to give a Happy Valentine's Day shout-out to someone very special.

Someone that I've been pining for, for what feels like a lifetime.

So dreamy.

So perfect.?

...

..

...

??Mr. Full-Time Employment.??

WHOA.?

I know, I know!

??I shouldn't be naming names like this.

??I don't know what's gotten into me!

??Maybe it's the sleep deprivation.

??Or my subsisting on canned beans for the past 33 days.

??Or wondering how I'm going to pay my rent at the end of the month.

Part of me doesn't want him to know that I'm THAT interested.??

That's why I've had the green banner up for so long.

??(I want him to believe that I'm "exploring other options.")??

And yeah, I've been playing it cool.??

As a matter of fact, I haven't liked any of his LinkedIn posts in WEEKS...?

(not that I'm keeping count.)??

??Or hearted them...

??Or the little clapping celebration hands...

??Or the laughing face...(Yeah - he's really witty, too!)

The Candidate. Here for the right reasons. Ready to go on an amazing journey with your company.

??But did I tell you guys in LinkedIn Nation that his posts are 100% real?

Not one hint of A.I.!????

He's thoughtful and empathetic - really takes the time to get to know his candidates!

This employer is NOT lazy.

Even though 100s of candidates have submitted their applications within MINUTES of him posting, he doesn't use?Applicant Tracking Software!

***faints***

??And he's fancy! And cultured!

??His company culture is to DIE for!

?Competitive salary!? Healthcare!? Unlimited PTO!?Snacks!!!

??(Is it getting warm in here?)??

He embraces diversity!?Respect and fairness!?Trust and integrity!

He gives me the space that I need to do my best work!??

His communication is top notch!??

??He doesn't even use corporate speak!??

I KNOW!!!

??He has an incredible growth mindset, always bettering himself.

He's his team's biggest cheerleader, and champions the importance of work-life balance -- in action and not just words!

And is loyal to boot!

While I don't want to get ahead of myself here, there is so much buzz about engagement and opportunities for advancement - if you know what I mean!??

??Ahhhh...but I'm feeling so self-conscious. What if those emojis on my resume were a bad idea? He just never struck me as the superficial type!

It's been SO. LONG.

??Don't you think if he was interested he would have said something by now?

I mean...I HAVE caught him looking at my profile.???

We have so many overlapping interests.??

????HIS corporate values are MY corporate values.

?And on top of everything else...he's REMOTE!?

While I'm typically strictly opposed to long-distance relationships, this one is different. He's exactly what I need at this point in my life.??

??But who am I to think that my dream job could be just as smitten about me?

It's not that I'm lacking in confidence, I just don't want to come across as entitled!

??????All my best recruiters are telling me to "Just GO FOR IT!"??????

After all, there are no rules in job applications anymore, right?

So, F.T., ...

??Mr. Full-Time Employment...

I've decided to put myself out there:

??I'm just a job candidate,

??standing in front of an employer,

??asking him to?HIRE ME!

Anyway.?

I hope you're doing well.

(Call Me.)

Happy Valentine's Day, Job Seekers.
