1. Typos. It's 2018, really no excuse.
2. Really long, 1-2 page ideal, 3 pages MAX.
3. No contact info (yes, I've seen CV's without emails and cell phone numbers in them)
4. Copy pasting JD's. We all know what a xyz does, how do you do it different? Better?
5. No Achievements section, this should be right at the top as to grab the attention.
6. Inappropriate picture/bad quality one. I'm not averse to candidates adding in a picture, but don't look like a serial killer in it please, smile.
7. Reverse Chronological Order. Don't start your CV by mentioning what you did 15 years ago, almost no one cares, focus on your last two positions.
8. File names such as "Updated CV.xyz" or "Resume 1.xyz", write your full name and function for easier search.
9. Sending CV's out to everyone. Target your approach. Don't apply for an HR position if you have a marketing background. Tailor your approach.
10. Having bad grammar. Use https://www.grammarly.com/, it's a free tool that checks your grammar and gives suggestions.
11. Writing "Interested" in the comments section. I know, I know, not a resume mistake, it just really irks me.
