the most beautiful lesson of leadership

I had the immense fortune, a few weeks ago, to attend a rehearsal of the Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin.

By listening to this talented orchestra, I have often wondered why when Yannick directs, the partition is thus transcended.

Watching this rehearsal and the way the Maestro and the orchestra communicated, I took the greatest lesson in leadership in my life.

1 - Know the strengths of each person on your team and be curious about their individual skills

2 - When you give a goal, always put the benefit of the group or the project forward

3- Recognize the positive initiatives of your team

4 - admit your mistakes

5 - explain rather than impose

6- Give your team the opportunity to get out of the frame if it serves the final work

7 - Make one with your team
