Most Anticipated Smartphones For 2021 And Beyond

1 September 2021|Industry News

2021 has been innovative and brilliant as far as mobile phones go. We've already seen the?Samsung Galaxy S21,?Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus?and the?Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. These devices are certainly some of the most popular devices released so far this year. They were followed by the?OnePlus 9?and the OnePlus?9 Pro, while the impressive?Xiaomi Mi 11?range was also launched and was the ambitious?Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.?There's plenty more on the way if leaks and rumours are to be believed. There has been a device for all of us so far but the main party is yet to get started. As we approach the final quarter of 2021 we are yet to see this year's iPhone and Google is yet to show us their latest device. Let's take a look into what's in store for the rest of the year and beyond.?

iPhone 13 Range:?

The iPhone 13 is definitely the most anticipated phone release of 2021. When Apple has a phone on the way the whole world stops and stares. This year will be no different. We are expecting four models. The iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Max. There could be some big technological upgrades for these new models, with?high refresh rate screens,in-screen fingerprint scanners,1TB of storage and a smaller notch all rumoured. There’s also talk of larger batteries and an enhanced camera system.?

That said, the majority of rumours so far point to this year's models being fairly similar to the?iPhone 12?range overall, with the same screen sizes and similar designs. We do expect some minor updates but nothing mind-boggling!

Google Pixel 6:

The?Google Pixel 6?and Pixel 6 Pro could be this year's dark horse of mobile phone releases.?Google has revealed?the design and some details of the models but has yet to get into greater detail. From what we know so far and from the visuals provided, we are in for an amazing treat!?

The Pixel 6 range will launch with a new chipset dubbed the?Google Tensor. For the first time, ever Google has made their own chipset so no other phone will have it. As for the other specs, the Google Pixel 6 Pro has a curved screen of around 6.7 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the basic Pixel 6 has a flat 90Hz screen. The Pixel 6 Pro camera is unique. You also get a triple-lens camera on the Pixel 6 Pro, with main, ultra-wide and telephoto offerings – the last of which allows for 4x optical zoom. The standard Pixel 6 lacks the telephoto lens but keeps the other two. We are expected to see more of the phone in October but from what we can see how the phone looks smart, unique and sophisticated.?

Samsung Galaxy S22 range:?

A little glimpse of what 2022 has to offer. The Samsung S22 range will be the first major phone release of the year. With leaks suggesting we are set for a January release. Not much is known yet for the phones apart from speculated model names and basic dimensions. The S22 and S22 Ultra are expected to release as part of the S22 range with both devices supposedly having similar screens and designs as their S21 counterparts.?

There are rumours of a 200MP camera but these claims may be a little speculative and out of reach (for the time being at least). As we are quite far from release we can't really get into much detail as information is quite scarce at present. One thing is for certain and that is we can expect an amazing device at launch and one of the best of 2022. Samsung has an amazing track record and I don't see it going anytime soon.?
