Last night my son requested me to cook some snacks as he needed to work on his research. Grabbed some nuggets by the fridge and went to the kitchen to cook. While I heated the oil and unload the nuggets from its plastic pack I started to hear mosquito buzzes. If there were insects I hated the most these blood suckers ranks first. I hated that the trash were not yet in the bin outside, my insect enemies had the chance to explore the kitchen. There goes the nuggets in the frying pan. I waited few minutes till the nuggets turned brown, suddenly I felt an itch in the middle of my foot. I tried to use my other foot to trick this mosquito of the big foot kick along his way. However, as the nuggets cooked away I brought it to our dining area and prepared the sauce. To my amazement, this mosquito I supposedly kicked off my foot was hanging to dear life pumping blood from my veins. It hit me, the mosquito had a choice, have a taste of my blood and fly away. But he chose to stay and savor my blood, to the last stretching capacity of its belly like a PRO, it knows what it will cost him. I realized, in life, there is a flight or fight situation placed upon us all humans and insects alike. But we all have a choice. My friend chose to enjoy despite what's coming, I slapped him to his death. It died enjoying what it love the most. Come to think of it, we are all going to die anyways, we can stick doing what we love the most along side facing all consequences, to be happy.
