“Savoring Senses”

In the middle of an alluring miraculous annual turtle season along Southwest Florida Gulf of Mexico, mature female marine long strong jawed Loggerhead turtles commonly arrive on both quiet and quaint connected Captiva and Sanibel Barrier Island shores after traveling thousands of miles where they were hatched decades before to lay their own 100-120 eggs in a 50-60 day incubated dry sided circular chamber by motioning their rear flippers to scoop grains of sand in a three hour span creating a burrow of 20 inches wide in a 10-20 inches deep pit as the size of one of their flippers in the warm white beaches to then leave their protected spawns by returning to the sea with their paddled tracks after covering the hole as a camouflage from predators, unfortunately by human sabotage.
Hence, the barricades outlining the endangered sea turtle nests are purposely in place by the Florida’s outstanding Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation to mark displays as forms of educational communications and safety precautions about the valuable importance of sea turtles on the Southwest Florida islands.
Living on a serene and tranquil isolated island, the author savors many senses surrounding her environment especially observing her early mornings of natural ocean habitats with respect to God’s created aqua creatures like the beautiful heart shaped reddish brown top shells of the Loggerhead turtles nesting in the subtropical beaches seen as she strolls the daybreak seaside but also the small headed Green Seas as the largest of hard shelled sea turtles as well as the Leatherbacks as the largest sea turtles with black leathery seven ridges extending lengthwise distinguishingly on their top shells and the triangular shaped headed hooked beaks of the Kemp’s Ridley dark colored greyish green smallest of the exquisite sea turtles of the amazing nautical gems.
Depending on several earthly elements for the Loggerhead turtle hatchlings to successfully climb their way from bank to sea, timing is essential once hatched due to threatening beachfront lighting properties and cumbersome items left on the beach by unthoughtful beachgoers that disastrously gravely disorient the tiny newborns from not finding the living saltwater to swim freely since they innately follow light in one direction to guide them to the beloved abundant salty surf turquoise of life.
With praise and glory to Lord Jesus Christ on the lands and seas of ALL creation, the author acknowledges God’s invisible hands are arranging situations, opening giving hearts and preparing one to receive His perfect plan in the straight path faithfully believed in these Holy scriptures, “If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.,” Psalms 139:9-10 New International Version (NIV) of the Christian Bible; Still, the best-selling book of All time.
Reflect, from sunrise to sunset.
