Morel Mushroom, we called Guchchi or Guchi Chayau in Nepal. now it is season for it's foraging.
Morchella esculenta is commonly known by various names: morel, common morel, true morel, morel mushroom, yellow morel, sponge morel, Molly Moocher, haystack, and dryland fish. In Nepal it is known as?Guchi chyau.
Morel mushrooms are found in different parts of the world and their availability is often seasonal. While March to April is Morels we used to called hunting in past but I learned now that we have to call foraging. These wild mushrooms foraged from wooded areas during the spring months, usually?March to June morel foraging season in Nepal.
