The More You See, The More You See. Experiences, Learnings, Vision and Growth.

The More You See, The More You See. Experiences, Learnings, Vision and Growth.

Years ago, I wanted to plant a tree.

I had no idea which kind made the most sense because I really didn't know anything about trees. This was before the internet made everything easy, so I had to do some research and really look around.

And let me tell you—I learned more about trees than I ever thought I would or wanted to.

Finally, I found the right tree.

Then something happened.

I started seeing that tree everywhere!

It was like my brain flipped a switch.

This isn’t just about trees.

It happens with anything new we become aware of. Once our minds latch onto something, they start looking for it.

It’s how our brains work.

And it’s not just about things around us; it’s about what’s happening inside us too. The more we start paying attention, the more we begin to see—not just in the world, but in ourselves.

There’s a saying:

“The more we see, the more we see.”

When we look at things in our lives—relationships, work, our own thoughts—we start to notice details and patterns that were always there, just out of sight.

It’s like opening a door and finding a whole new room.

Why Does This Happen?

1. Our Brains Learn to See More

Our brains work like puzzle builders (I love puzzles!). Every time we notice something new, it’s like adding another piece to the puzzle.

The more pieces we collect, the clearer the picture becomes.

It’s just like that tree—once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

This happens in our lives too. When we pay attention to our actions and feelings, patterns start to emerge.

Suddenly, it’s like, “Oh, that’s why I react that way.”

2. Spotting Patterns in Life

Our brains are wired to find patterns.

At first, everything might seem random or confusing, just like when you first learn about a new tree. But the more you look, the more connections you start to see.

This is true with people as well. Paying attention helps us understand what makes others tick.

And when we turn that attention inward, we start to notice things about ourselves that we might have missed.

3. The More We Focus, The More We Find

When we focus on something, our brains start highlighting it for us.

It’s like learning a new word and suddenly hearing it everywhere. It’s not magic; it’s just our brains saying:

“Hey, this is important!”

The same happens with self-awareness. When we take the time to notice our habits and thoughts, we get a clearer picture of who we are.

4. Learning Builds on Itself

Every time we learn something new, it makes the next thing easier to spot.

It’s like building a bridge; each piece of knowledge connects to another.

The more we understand, the more dots we can connect.

The more I pay attention to my thoughts and actions, the clearer things become—even if it's not always a pleasant clarity (in the moment). The more we see, the more we truly see. We begin to notice the details.

So, go ahead, dig deep/deeper. Dive into what catches your attention. The more you look, the more you'll see. Trust that clarity will follow. Patterns will emerge, connections will form, and things you once overlooked will start to make sense.

Go find (see) what's been there all along?
