The more you learn… (Part II)

Picking up where I left off yesterday. Rather than having a small novel, I figured I’d break this up into smaller pieces…

Dennis DiMillo did an outstanding job on what’s near and dear to my heart in presenting “The Pitfalls of Appraisals.” It was a very informative and interactive session.

Gabe Ganga, AIC RPA walked us all through “Restoration and Reconstruction – Issues on a Complex Loss.” Again, this was a very interactive and audience engaging exercise. While the presentation went off without a hitch, the back story is even better. You see, Gabe lived the movie “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” trying to get to London and then to his presentation. While he finally made it to London about 24 hours (I think) later than he was scheduled to arrive, his luggage did not. It simply didn’t matter. The group loved every bit of Gabe’s time with us.

Matthew Patience and Rosina S. provided the group “Insights into Data & Imagery.” I’m running out of ways to creatively frame the exceptionalism of the presentations and presenters, but yet again we were thoroughly enlightened.

Ray Graham and Stephanie (I think Weller but didn’t double check last name – Oops!) stepped in (scheduled presenter was ill) and gave us a great Lloyd’s overview as we peppered them with question after question.

Alex MacDonald-Bell analyzed the “Covid-19 claims impact around the world.” I’d love to spend a day with Alex to improve my Forensic Accounting IQ.

Juan Carlos Araiza and Tracey Dodd explained “How is technology changing the way claims are investigated and adjusted?” I have to say I love one of Tracey’s many titles – Toxicologist.?
