More Than A Place To Work

Exploring a Lucrative Opportunity: Utilizing Your Taproom as a "Work from Home" Alternative Workspace.

The ongoing shift towards remote work has transformed the way people approach their professional lives. Many individuals now seek alternative workspaces to break away from the traditional office environment and boost their productivity. I like to find places of interest to use as my workspace at least once every other week and that's where your brewery's taproom could play a pivotal role.

Remote Workers like me have been exploring innovative ways to support remote work in finding suitable spaces to work efficiently and comfortably. While sitting in a local coffee shop I had an idea that offers a promising opportunity that could benefit breweries and the thriving community of remote professionals in their area.

The premise is simple yet effective: to transform the taproom into a "work from home" alternative workspace during the hours it is not in use by regular customers. By offering this unique service, you can tap into a whole new market and generate additional revenue streams without compromising your core business.

Comparable co-working space providers like Regus charge around $118/month for their community spaces, making it evident that there is demand for such spaces among remote workers.

By offering an authentic and captivating setting like a taproom, breweries have the chance to stand out and attract a diverse range of professionals, entrepreneurs, and freelancers looking for a change of scenery while they work.

Do the math. $200/month membership to use a space that’s not being used during the day sold to 50 people is an additional $10,000/month of revenue.

Potential benefits of this collaboration include:

  1. Additional Revenue: The taproom's availability as a co-working space can generate income during typically quieter hours.
  2. Broadening Your Reach: Attracting a new clientele of remote workers can increase exposure and promote your brewery to potential future customers.
  3. Enhanced Community Engagement: Providing a productive workspace fosters a sense of community and loyalty among those who appreciate the experience.
  4. Flexible Scheduling: Co-working hours can be scheduled around your regular business hours, ensuring there is no interference with your primary customer base.
  5. Networking Opportunities: The taproom can become a hub for professionals to network, fostering potential collaborations and partnerships.
  6. Customizable Packages: Offering different membership plans can cater to various needs, from occasional drop-ins to more dedicated workspaces.
  7. A focus group in which you could bounce product or marketing ideas off to get their feedback.

This is a potential positive situation for a brewery and hope some might consider this idea to provide a dynamic "work from home" alternative workspace for their local community. I know I would be willing to purchase a membership.
