More Than Meets the Eye

Irina Gorbman is a Boston-based contemporary meditative metaphysical artist who creates the Healing Power of Art.? There is more than meets the eye! Oil paintings in a style of abstract expressionism have a meditative vibe and create uplifting happy Zen feelings in a room.? Irina believes that in our technology-driven world, we need a color boost to feel more alive and become more holistic. The colors - happy colors - can help in this process of elevation. Art patrons note that the sensitivity of Irina’s works is similar to Mark Tobey, Edvard Munch, Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning, Edouard Manet and refer to abstract expressionism and automatic and gestural painting. Much of her art has been presented at the Architectural Digest Design Shows in New York and acquired by local and international private collectors. Formerly a mechanical engineer with a master’s diploma in international relations and a yoga devotee, she began to paint to heal herself and help others.
