More than a jumper....

When we started selling jumpers and t-shirts earlier this year it felt like an exciting way to shout about our mission and get people to buy in to what we’re doing at Sanctus.

To be honest, initially we were just responding to requests from friends and family asking us for a jumper — so when we launched the store we thought we’d sell a few to our mates.

6 weeks on and we’ve sold nearly 100 items of clothing to friends, family and people all over the country that we’ve never even met before.

Not only this, people are wearing them with pride; at work, on nights out and taking selfies with them on.

We’ve realised that our jumpers aren’t a joke — they are real and really important to people. They say something about who you are and what you stand for.

They say that you believe in changing the perception of mental health.

When we asked our community what colour we should release next; black or navy? We were genuinely overwhelmed with the response, over 200 people posting their favourite.

Every time we met someone, they’d ask how things are going with the work we do with businesses, but that was just small talk — all people want to know about is — “When’s the next jumper out?”

So, jumpers have become a real thing for us — we want to give them the credit they deserve. Sanctus Jumpers are now a real part of our business and for that reason we’re dedicating real time and resource to them.

We lost money on our first batch and whilst the impact has been really positive, we’re not a charity and we’re pushing for Sanctus to be a profitable business this year. So we’ve partnered with Everpress to provide a scalable way for us to sell jumpers without being bogged down with the arduous tasks of holding stock and fulfillment.

Our clothing with a mission is real, just like mental health is real.
