More than Fun: Onboarding at EDHEC’s Global MBA

It is so much more than enjoying the French Riviera’s stunning geography from the sunny Alpine summits to the shores of the vibrant blue Med. The EDHEC Business School Global MBA Frozen Olympics offers an important onboarding and teambuilding exercise that brings many benefits beyond the fun and spectacular scenery.

By onboarding our new cohort of MBAs, we are helping MBA students learn to

It is no secret that team development is key to improving individual, team and organizational performance. Onboarding reduces the anxiety of new members of the community, produces happier teams, develops better communication, allows new students and staff to gain insight on how they fit in the rest of the group, and how they may perform in solving problems collaboratively, across cultures or?under pressure.

Sound familiar? In a very short time, they will need these same abilities, insights and values to succeed in their intense and challenging MBA studies and in their ensuing leadership, management or consulting careers around the globe.

Working with the incredible teams at Made in Cote d’Azur in collaboration with guides and instructors from the prestigious Ecole de Ski Francais (ESF) at Auron mountain resort, students experience the value of teaming up with experts who bring passion, performance-orientation, responsability and energy to lead activities and humbly take responsibility for the safety and enjoyment of others.

Going to the summits of the Southern Alps an hour from our campus, takes students out of their comfort zone, opens their minds to discovery and exploration, and provides a wonderful metaphor for achievement as we literally reach new heights.?
