More than 50% of projects go over time and budget, which is an unfortunately consistent issue that you don't read about in case studies. All industry participants have plenty of improvement to do towards getting projects to succeed, and blaming others doesn't help.
Clients think its the vendor's fault, vendors blame the client, and delivery teams get blamed by everyone.
Studies consistently indicate several factors that influence success (or failure), including setting up a strong foundation for your project and having a clearly defined ‘why’ that ensures the project (and the resulting systems) have strategic alignment with the goals of the business.
