More Terrorism, Anyone? Everyone?

Dear Mr. President;

Here we go again. 12 people killed in Virginia Beach, VA. Read a related article here. Boy, bad news sure makes for good news ... at least good in terms of getting the attention of readers for the benefit of advertisers.

It gets my attention in another way. Maybe it gets your attention in another way also?

I've had enough. I've had enough senseless killing. I've had enough deflection by too many elected and appointed officials distracting us away from their jobs - the jobs we hire them for - their obligation for securing our safety - for preventing this stupidity from taking place in our country. I've had enough of people making the problem into something it is not - gun control, employee mistreatment, childhood boo-boos, stress, bad parents, sexual frustration, and all the other crap we hear every time some self-centered evil-doer decides to shoot up, blow up, drive over, set fire to, or otherwise attack a crowd of our fellow citizens with selfish narcissistic lustful angry expressive death in his or her heart. Enough is enough.

We have, over the past several decades, jokingly adopted the term "going postal" into the American lexicon at a cultural level roughly equal with "mom" or "apple pie." In other words, we now all agree that a tendency toward workplace rage and subsequent killing of persons at that workplace is part of who we are - part of being an American. Not me. I don't accept that rage is part of the definition of an American. We are not made of rage of any kind. I reject the idea that we are. I reject the idea that we must allow rage to reign and run free in our free society. Rage is my enemy and vice versa.

We are a sad and and weak and subdued people who squander our blessings in the name of confusing sound bites, doctrines, agendas and profit-minded special interests.

I call for the stopping of selfish murdering narcissistic persons who think they can walk without consequence into a school or a church or shopping mall or hotel or place of business and shoot or blow up everything and everybody, to feed their own personal selfish hateful evil desires, then kill themselves or allow themselves to be killed, or maybe not be killed thus living long comfortable lives on our collective tax-money-grace until a peaceful and well-managed humane death comes to them. Enough is enough.

I call for STOPPING them BEFORE they do their EVIL on another person.

I call for stopping the fretting, apathy, whining, and wringing of our hands over our growing evil-doer death toll because we don't believe there is anything we can do about it. How can the victims' families in Virginia Beach believe in a United States of America which not only allows what happened, but glorifies it with media coverage only to allow it to fade into dead forgotten oblivion within a few short months because the newest iPhone or latest Hollywood or Washington, DC, scandal will be much bigger news. Short memories encourage short lives. Enough is enough.

On the current trajectory, one day the number of persons whose families have been personally attacked by this American travesty will be large enough that they will rise up and demand ... something. What will they demand? The return of their loved ones?

There is nearly ALWAYS an indication of intent by the evil-doer expressed in one or more ways before aggressive self-entertainment-murder-death is carried out in reality, and almost always somebody else was aware before the act was done. Those who had a reasonable opportunity for foreknowledge are accountable. If the killer-to-be doesn't care enough about his or her own life to respond with hesitation to a life-imprisonment or capital-punishment-death deterrent-threat, then we need to know and analyze what they do care about (puppy, cat, grandma, girlfriend, mama, stamp collection, facebook page, lover, vintage car, having their earthly remains boiled in pig droppings, ... whatever ...) and make "them" understand that their planned despicable selfish act of rage or disgust against a US citizen or against mankind WILL result in terrible and crushing and swift and relentless unpleasant consequences to what and who they do care about - everything and everyone they care about.  We should not worry about what their belief system is, what they think will happen in their afterlife, whether they think they will have an afterlife or not, what voices in their head told them to do, or what bad things happened to them in their younger life, ... we should not care about these things in the context of their intention to act out at the fatal expense of other persons. All we should care about in the context of the evil they intend to do, is to STOP THEM BEFORE they commit the act of right-to-life termination on another person. Period.

Once they're permanently stopped before they act we can then show compassion, and caring, and perhaps even encourage those they care about and who care about them to help with their other "issues." But stopping their planned evil action is job number one. Period.

Mr. President, your people of the United States need your help. All of us. Democrats. Republicans. Undecided. Don't Care. White. Black. Asian. Hispanic. Able-bodied. Differently-abled. Young. Old. In-Between. All of us. We are failing to stop our neighbors, co-workers, fellow students, haters, friends, enemies, domestic partners, and others from killing us. Our government officials, many of whom work for you, do not protect us from this senseless killing. Please hear our plea for your leadership, hopeful as you have demonstrated courage and leadership elsewhere. We desire to protect our right to life, but we need you also to act on our behalf.

The intentional evil-doer needs to understand before acting against others that their actions may end in their own death, but their actions will also be the birth of the suffering and destruction of those persons and things they care about. They should understand that their DNA chain and network will be wrung out completely to pay financially for whatever they have damaged or whatever it costs to deal with the mess they make. They need to know that the legal, penal and other costs of their actions will be recovered from everyone they are related to, hang with, have known, made babies with, were married to, and otherwise intertwined with in life. In bringing about death, they will bring about the devastating judgment on those they knew in life for what they who knew them did not do to stop them before it was too late. They should know that everything will be taken away from everyone important to them. They should know that their actions toward other persons they don't care about are actually evil actions directed at persons they do care about.

These narcissistic evil-doers are no less TERRORISTS than those we pursued with vigor following 9/11/2001 resulting in hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money spent, US citizens' rights curtailed, US armed forces deployed in harm's way requiring the deaths of our countrymen and countrywomen, foreign countries subdued or bought off, and notable troublemakers caught or killed or made to disappear. Our methodology for the so-called "global war on terror" has been the assignment of representative accountability for those who enable, foment, encourage, aid, give shelter and aid to, protect, fund, hide, succor, or simply allow to operate peacefully within their areas of influence, the evil-doers who attack us and others.

Our country, as far as we know, goofed around with Al Qaeda and their allies for at least 20 years before we decided to fight back.

Do we not see that TERROR is at war with us in our midst in the hands of our own citizens? Do we only care more about big numbers like thousands in New York City and Washington, DC, while only a mere dozen in Virginia Beach really don't matter enough?

How long will we goof around with this TERRORISM before we decide to fight back?

Preemptive action by overwhelming force to prevent such evil is called for but is terrifying at the same time. It scares me to think about it. It scares me to talk about it. But, it scares me more to remain silent and just accept more selfish death-dealing as the way things are and wait for the next mass killing so the cycle can start all over again.

The very idea of making other persons accountable in advance and in parallel for what a person is going to do before it happens puts all sorts of US Constitutional and other objections in front of us. That is a problem. But, it is not a permanent prevention of positive change, unless we allow it to be so. Do I want to trade away my Constitutional rights? No. Do I want others to be able to commit mass murder in my country with impunity? No. Do I want my life, or the lives of those who are important to me, to be abruptly ended by the action of another person? No. Do I know how to resolve this terrible and difficult national identity problem in the best way? No.

But ..... isn't protecting and preserving life worth more than hiding behind so-called "rights" and obsolete repetitive political and moral and childish arguments? Moreover, isn't all life worth fighting for at the highest cost if necessary? My life is. The lives of those I care about are. Your life is. All lives are.

We need to be talking about this problem more. We need open discussion. We need this to be a key topic of every upcoming election at every level of government until We The People are satisfied with a new status quo. We need to behave like grownups with a serious systemic problem among us and decide what is right and doable and instruct our governments to do what we want done. We need to do it as soon as possible - as the dead body count continues to climb.

We must demand and insist that right-minded citizens of our country rise up and define and defend a civil and peaceful and safe way of life. Whatever it takes. Whatever it means.

Even if it takes all of us to protect all of us. Even if it means we have to change things which are difficult to change.

It's already too late for some. But, it is not too late for all.
